You are going to love my Baked Roast Beef Sliders. Just like my Italian Sliders, they make a fun and easy dinner idea even for the busiest night of the week.
Table of contents
These roast beef sliders are so good they disappear as soon as they hit the table. Best of all they are a cinch to prepare! So whether you are looking for something different for game day, a potluck, or just a scrumptious snack, this is the perfect recipe.
The combination of the roast beef and horseradish is unbeatable! Being from Buffalo this is kind of a spin on a local specialty, Beef on Weck, which features thinly sliced rare roast beef topped with fresh horseradish on a salt and caraway seed-covered bun. It is a fantastic sandwich and so are these sliders!
Deli roast beef makes these sliders very easy to make. If you want to make homemade roast beef for this recipe, try my Top Round Roast or Bottom Round Roast recipes. Both are excellent options for thinly sliced roast beef sandwiches. If you want to really treat your family and friends, make these sandwiches with my Smoked Prime Rib!
Ingredients and substitutions for this Roast Beef Sliders Recipe
Sweet Hawaiian Rolls: You can use any slider buns or mini brioche rolls if you can’t find the Hawaiian sweet rolls.
Deli Roast Beef or thinly sliced homemade roast beef.
Prepared Horseradish which is fresh and has not lost its potency.
Mayonnaise
Dijon Mustard
Horseradish Havartti grated or thinly sliced. You can substitute any cheese that you like such as provolone, swiss, American, or cheddar cheese. Anything that melts well works fine.
Everything Bagel Seasoning: You can also use poppy seeds or sesame seeds.
Easy Recipe Instructions
- Slice the rolls in half and arrange the bottom half of the rolls in a 9″x18″ baking dish. Combine the horseradish and mayonnaise in a small bowl. Spread half of the horseradish cream sauce on the bottom half of the buns.
- Layer the sliced roast beef on the bottom of the rolls and top it with the cheese. Spread the remaining horseradish mayo sauce on the inside of the top buns and arrange them on top of the roast beef and cheese.
- Mix mayonnaise with the Dijon mustard in a small bowl and brush the sauce on top of the rolls. Sprinkle the everything bagel seasoning evenly over all of the rolls, cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 15 minutes in a preheated 350-degree oven. Uncover and bake for an additional 5 -10 minutes.
- Slice into individual sandwiches and serve.
Cooking Tips
I find that it is easier to the sliders into individual sandwiches before baking them. Use a sharp serrated knife so that you can slice through the layers of roast beef and cheese.
You can also separate the buns and layer the sliders as individual sandwiches so that it is easy to remove them from the baking pan.
Don’t leave the sliders in the oven too long if you like your beef medium or medium rare. The longer the sliders are in the oven the more well done the roast beef will be.
Serving Suggestions
These cheesy roast beef sliders make a perfect appetizer, but this is also an easy dinner recipe. Serve the sliders as your main course. A side of potato chips makes this a delicious casual dinner that you can have ready in just a few minutes. You can also pair these savory roast beef sandwiches with a La Scala Chopped Salad or an Italian Green Bean and Potato Salad. We love these little sandwiches with Parmesan Crusted Potatoes!
How to Store Leftovers
Leftover roast beef sliders can be stored in an airtight container and refrigerated for up to 4 days. They can be enjoyed reheated in the microwave or the oven. To reheat them in the oven, place the sandwiches on a baking sheet and cover them with foil. Place them in a 350-degree F preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until they are just heated through and the cheese is melted.

So delicious. I used cheddar cheese horseradish cheese because they didn’t have Havarti at the store. Still delicious! Thank you for the recipe!
